Iowa Engagement Session in Des Moines, Iowa
Courtney and Dakota chose to have their Iowa engagement session in Downtown Des Moines. Let me just say – it did not disappoint. We started the session at the Alley Studio in Des Moines & finished near the capital for some golden hour goodness. I highly recommend a cozy studio session, especially in the winter months of Iowa. Courtney + Dakota cozied up in the studio, danced, & we all just had a blast shooting in this space. I always love when my couples want to make their engagement session unique! It gives me a chance to get creative.
One of my favorite parts of this studio session was the ability to truly get creative with the shots. We used props like stools & tables to bring their love story to life! Not to mention their outfits are GOALS. The jumpsuit?! I’m completely obsessed. These are the perfect winter couples session outfits without a doubt.
After our time in the studio, we headed a couple blocks over the the Iowa capital building! We were just in time for the most perfect golden hour. The sixty degree temperatures felt amazing as we took photos downtown Des Moines, Iowa.
Of course we had to sneak in a few photos with the Iowa State capital in the background…I mean, look at that golden beauty! Overall though, seriously consider a downtown Des Moines session for your engagements! Look how flipping cute these two are!
